Beverly's work has attracted many fans. Here's what some of them have to say:
"Beverly Gray nails both sides of the complex Corman, the tame and the wild, the cheap and the generous, the artist and the chiseler. She describes the trophies and the wreckage that litter both sides of Roger's long road. She has found what there is of him to find."
Charles B. Griffith, author of such Corman classics as Bucket of Blood (1959) and Little Shop of Horrors (1960)
"To capture a complicated man like Roger Corman is no easy task. Beverly Gray has done her homework well and we are able to see the very charming Mr. Corman and his palette of different colors. I would say a must read for young producers."
Beverly Garland, star of Corman's It Conquered the World (1956) and Not of This Earth (1957)
"Beverly Gray's scholarly book on Roger Corman is not only a complete look at the phenomenon of this extraordinary independent film maker, it is an absorbing peek into a unique era in motion picture history. This book is a must for anyone who loves movies."
Mel Welles, who created the character of Gravis Mushnik in the original Little Shop of Horrors (1960)
Beverly conducts screenwriting workshops through UCLA Extension's Writers' Program. Among her past students are several who have won prestigious writing competitions and signed with high-profile agencies. Her most recent classes have been conducted online, but she has also had years of classroom experience.
"Masterfully informed and intuitive, Beverly Gray is able to convey such warmth, support and personality in her class, which isn't always easy when one teaches online. She set up a very positive, supportive but challenging environment for us to work in. Through this class I was able to get my screenplay in shape for a public reading and film option!"
Novelist Francesca Lia Block, author of Dangerous Angels
"I have taken many screenwriting classes through UCLA Extension and I found Beverly's class to be one of the most useful. Not only does she have an intrinsic understanding of the form and techniques of screenwriting, she is a fine teacher who brings out the best in her students. I particularly remember a large class a couple of years ago that consisted mostly of macho men writing macho screenplays. I was one of the few women. My work was definitely 'soft,' and she skillfully made sure that my work was treated with respect and given its proper due in class time and energy."
Milania Henley
"Beverly's class was great. It was loose, comfortable, and accepting. There was no 'how to.' It was more of a 'do whatever you want and we'll have your back.' (Even if you are completely out of your mind.) To me, there is just no other way. When I looked around the room, I saw 14 completely different personalities. Each had a different story to tell, and each was completely unique from the last. We respected each other's work, and got involved in each other's work. . . . This class was everything I was looking for."
Reilly Smith
"I taught for many years. Loved it. My son and his wife teach. All of my aunts on my father's side were teachers, including my grandmother (at a time when women were not educated). It's a talent and a gift. You are a born teacher, Beverly. Thank you."

As a veteran creative executive, responsible for the crafting and polishing of 170 feature films, Beverly offers her services as a script consultant to writers in all stages of the development process. She will provide extensive professional-grade story notes, and is available for script discussions both in person and on the telephone.
"I consider Beverly's in-depth analysis of my screenplay invaluable. For what I would consider a small fee for a serious writer, my screenplay was analyzed page by page. Beverly provided excellent feedback in regard to structure and character development, and offered suggestions to aid in the flow of the story. In a relatively short period of time, I was provided with pages of notes, which were discussed during our one-on-one meeting. Having a UCLA instructor who teaches screenwriting can only be a benefit to an aspiring writer. I highly recommend Beverly's services to anyone serious about screenwriting."
William Roble
"Just a note to thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to speak with Matt Gerson yesterday on our 'BookBrowse' program. I thought you were wonderful!!and the 'Roger Stories' were really funny. We, too, could have gone another hour. Matt enjoyed the book and the conversation. I'm looking forward to a follow-up interview at a later date."

"Beverly Gray's ten tips for biographers were the highlight of her presentation to our writers' club. Each is a bit of hard-won wisdom that she gleaned from writing two unauthorized biographies. Not all ran smoothly for Beverly's writing projects. . . . In each case, Beverly told us how she dealt with the obstacle and what her suggestions would be for similar situations we as writers might face. This was a stimulating and encouraging talk that generated many audience questions."
